Vijay Kumar Shetty raps Rai for ’aggressive’ behaviour at Yettinahole meet

Mangaluru, Dec 29, 2016 :  Netravathi Samrakshana Samithi President and former Suratkal MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty has taken strong exception  to  the ’aggressive’ behaviour of DK District in-charge Minister during the recent meeting on Yettinahole Project convened by the Chief Minister.

Speaking to reporters here on December 28, Wednesday Shetty  took Rai to task for his failure to back the  anti-Yettinahole activists  during the talks.

While appreciating the initiative of the CM in holding  the meeting, Shetty at the same time strongly resented Ramanatha Rai’s behaviour at the meeting and  said "the six time MLA  behaved irresponsibly  and  addressed the activists in singular. Both Ramanatha Rai and MLC Ivan D’Souza have  belied the expectations of the people," said Shetty.

Shetty claimed that he knew several secrets of Rai and  threatened to expose them when time comes. The Samithi would support  anyone who  opposes the project irrespective of their political affiliations, he said.

Former MLC Monappa Bhandari criticised the Government for not paying heed to the suggestion of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel to form a committee comprising of experts from DK and Kolar regions.
