Vigilante attack in Bantwal ; Sangh Parivar activists thrash 2 youth

Bantwal, Mar 20, 2018:  In  a vigilante attack reportedly by activists of the Sangh Parivar,  two Muslim  youth were  beaten up for   being in the company of  Hindu girls.


beaten up.jpgThe youth who were assaulted are Nazeem of Irvattur and Irfan of B C Road. It is gathered that five girl students of a local college used to go for evening tuitions at Madanthyar in the auto of Irfan every day. Accordingly, they had been to tuitions  on Monday. However, on their return, they had decided to go to Karinja hills   along with Irfan and  Nazeem.

Sources said the youngsters were even engrossed in taking selfies there.   Sangh Parivar activists  who noticed this questioned the youth, thrashed them and handed them over to the police.

 The girl students were entrusted to the care of their parents after summoning the latter to the station.  Anxious moments prevailed in front of Punjalakatte station for some time following the incident as people began to gather in large numbers.
