Veteran writer S L Bhairappa honoured at Mangaluru Lit Fest

Mangaluru, Nov 4, 2018: Veteran writer Dr S L Bhairappa was felicitated  during the two-day Mangaluru Lit Fest 2018 at the TMA Pai Convention Centre in the city. The event  has been organised with the theme  "The Idea of Bharath."

Dr N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte Deemed to be University honoured Bhairappa with a shawl, a peta and citation.

Responding to the felicitation conferred on him, Bhairappa said  he was of the opinion that there was not much of a difference  in the life style of the people in different parts of the nation. Describing Dakshina Kannada as a model district in the state, he said it has been possible due to its   love for education, discipline and the hard working nature of the people.

Chakravarthi Sulibele delivered the  felicitation address. Several persons including actress Malavika, former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat and others were present.
