Veteran CPI(M) leader B Madhava passes away

Mangaluru, June 19, 2019: Veteran CPI(M) leader and trade union activist B Madhava passed away on June 19,  Wednesday following a prolonged illness. He was  83 years of age.

Madhava who was a LLB graduate had begun  his career in LIC. He was active in the insurance workers’ agitation and later opted for voluntary retirement.

He  had served as a member of CPI(M) State Secretariat Board, CPI(M) District Secretary, State CITU Secretary among other posts.

He had once even contested the Lok Sabha elections as a CPI(M) candidate from the Dakshina Kannada constituency.
