Vehicle used by Kabir’s murderers found deserted

Mangalore, February 26: The Kavoor Police have found the black Scorpio, which was used by the murderers of Kabir, deserted in Malemar on the outskirts of Mangalore early Saturday morning. A sharp sickle was also found inside it, said R. Ramesh, the deputy commissioner of police.

Police have not arrested anybody in connection with the murder yet; but Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh is quite confident that the murder, Whch is believed to be an act of revenge, will be solved soon.

Police, however, have beefed up security within the jurisdiction of Mangalore Commissionerate and DK rural district to prevent anybody from retaliating.

Mr. Singh said that the department has posted additional police force in Gurupura, Vamanjoor, and other communally sensitive areas to prevent backlash. DAR and KSRP personnel have been posted in these areas.
