The event is being held as part of golden jubilee celebration of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP).   Soon after a meet  with police officials, minister Rai said,  police will take all precautions and summon additional forces to maintain law and order during the run up to event. He said the organisers have been directed to end the programme by 5pm. He added that guidelines will be framed so that events like this would end within the stipulated time. "If the programme does not end by 5pm, police will initiate necessary action,’’ he said.

The Samajotsava is likely to address problems such as cow slaughter, jihad, religious conversion, and exploitation of women.

In view of this, Rai said leaders from relevant  communities have been called on February 27, 28 for a peace meeting so that the event is conducted in a peaceful manner. "Leaders from both communities will be given certain responsibilities so that peace is maintained,’’ he added. DK DC  Adoor B Ibrahim appealed for cooperation from all in this regard.
