VHP leader Shenava kicks off storm by defending Basheer murder

Mangaluru, Jan 29, 2018: Vishwa Hindu Parishad District President Jagadish Shenava has kicked off a storm by defending the killing of Akashbhavan resident Basheer in retaliation to the murder of  Deepak Rao  of Katipalla.

 

Speaking at a function held here to release a book entitled "Hadedavvana Shaapa,"  Shenava said "An innocent Deepak Rao was killed. Basheer was murdered in retaliation to this  killing. We do not have any regret over Basheer murder. If Basheer is an innocent, is Deepak a murderer ?"

He said "I openly defend the incident as a VHP  president." "If innocent Hindus are killed to avenge one murder, why shouldn’t Basheer  not be murdered?’’ he further questioned.

The video of Shenava’s speech has gone viral and has been  condemned  by several people.

DYFI leader Muneer Katipalla has demanded the arrest of Shenava for  his inciting statement. He has also  urged  to withdraw the security provided to Shenava by the government.
