VHP President condemns DC name in Puttur Temple invitation

Mangaluru Mar 21, 2016: District President of Vishwa Hindu Parishat Jagadish Shenawa condemns the inclusion of District Commissioner AB Ibrahim’s name in Puttur Mahalingeshwara Temple invitation.

Speaking to the press at VHP office at Mangaluru today Monday Mar 21, he said that as per the Karnataka Hindu Charitable endowment Act of 1997 itself says that District Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner or any public servant who belongs to non-Hindu community should not be allowed to manage temple administration, we have no obligation against DC visiting the temple during the festivals, said Jagadish Shenawa.

He also said that, lots of question was raised against VHP saying that this is intolerance. DC would have opposed his name in the invitation and showed his tolerant attitude but he failed to do so.

Within two days temple administration need to print new invitation and distribute to the devotees, if the administration failed to do so, protest will be staged against the administration, he warned.

Secretary of VHP Manohar, Nagesh and Puneeth Attavar were present.
