Speaking about the Bajrang Dal, Keshava Hegde said that the Bajrang Dal, which is a unit of the VHP, is “not a group of jobless people or anti-social elements,” but a group of people who have taken it upon themselves to protect their country. The parent organization of the Bajrang Dal, the VHP, has a number of social welfare activities such as blood donation camps to its credit, he added.

Since anti-social elements divided India into 3 parts following independence, the Bajrang Dal has pledged to unite the nation and make it whole. The objective of holding the Akand Bharath Sankalp Day is to vow to protect the nation and revive the nationalistic spirit.

The members held a procession from Garodi Temple to Pumpwell Maidan. Around 300 young people, holding fire sticks in their hands, took part in this procession, which was accompanied by Nasik band sets and fire play. The dignitaries also hoisted the saffron flag on this occasion.

M. B. Puranik and Sharan Pumpwell addressed the gathering.

VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders M. B. Puranik, Keshava Hegde, Dinesh Kankanady, Jithendra Kottari, and others were also present.
