Uttarakhand relief fund : DC’s instructions to contributors

 Mangalore, july 1, 2013 : Deputy Commissioner N Prakash while appreciating the unprecedented response of people of the district  in contributing to the Uttarakhand flood relief,  has at the same time taken serious cognizance of the misuse of the opportunity  by some people.

In a press communiqué, the DC has requested the contributing voluntary organizations as well as the public not to give cash, but make their contributions either by cheque or DD and send the same to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, Prime Minister’s office., New Delhi (Pan No. AAAGP0033M).

If this process is difficult the contributors can submit the same  in the prescribed format.

The DC has also directed the public not to make their contributions to anyone in the form of cash and has warned of stern action against anyone  raising funds unauthorisedly.
