Urwa SI in ICU after attack by unknown assailants

Mangaluru, April 5, 2017 : Aithappa, Sub-Inspector in Urwa Police Station has been allegedly assaulted by unidentified assailants  on the morning  of April 5, Wednesday. He is presently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of a hospital.

 

 

 

It is believed that the SI was  assaulted near Lady Hill with iron rods at around 3.30 am when he was passing that way in his bike. Senior police officials including Mangaluru Police Commissioner have visited the scene of the crime and also the hospital and enquired about the condition of Aithappa.

Investigations are underway.
