Uppinangady, Dec 20, 2019: Miscreants have  stoned  at least five buses in Uppinangady which is observing an  undeclared bundh on Friday after Thursday’s violent protest against Citizenship Amendment Act which claimed two lives during police firing.

If one KSRTC  bus was stoned  at Karandur in Bangarakatte of the taluk, four other buses were stoned at Kuppetti.

Miscreants who  had burnt tyres right on the middle of the road at Kuppetti  later stoned a private bus. Three other KSRTC buses in the area were also stoned  and damaged.

Police have reportedly taken one person into custody in connection with the stoning of buses.
