Uppinangady: Cops rescue 29 cattle from smuggling; 1 arrested

Uppinangady, Oct 02 2019: Uppinangady Police have seized as many as 27 cattle which were being smuggled in a lorry at Nelyady on October 1, Tuesday evening and have arrested the driver. Three others who were in the lorry managed to escape.

 

 

The operation followed a tip off that cattle was being smuggled in a lorry form Hassan towards Mangaluru. The Nelyady outpost ASI Seetharam and team intercepted the lorry on suspicion and found the cattle crammed inside it.
