Uppinangady: Cops raid illegal butchery; arrest 3, seize 2 calves

Uppinangady, July 13, 2015: The Uppinangady police who raided an unauthorised slaughter house at Valalu in Bajattur village on July 12, Sunday have arrested three persons apart from seizing two  calves. The slaughter house was functioning close by the drain of a plantation owned by Idinabba adjacent to the National Highway at Valalu.

The cops led by ASI  Dayanand who raided the place following a tip off,  found a weighing machine as well as some animal remains apart from two calves.

Three accused naely Mohammad Asif, Abdul Rahiman and Jainuddin were arrested. Preliminary investigation revealed  that the stolen cattle were brought to this slaughter house from where beef was supplied to different places.
