Uppala man arrested at MIA for smuggling gold in rectum

Mangaluru, Feb 26, 2020:  Customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport have arrested a person from Uppala in Kasargod district for trying to smuggle  619 grams of 24 karat gold worth Rs 26,30,750. had arrived by  an Air India Flight from Dubai  on February 25, Tuesday and was found  to have hidden the gold  in the form of paste in rubber capsules in his rectum.

 

The arrested person has been identified as Moidin Arzan. He has been produced before the court.
