Subrahmanya, June 28,2017:   The controversy over the Iftar meet organised by Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Paryaya Pejawar Mutt  is unnecesary. Through the Iftar get-together, the seer has sent a good message to  the society, said JD(S) State Chief and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

He was speaking to reporters after visiting Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and Kukke Subrahmanya Temple.  Kumaraswamy said  such programmes go a long way in shunning communal hatred in the society.  Asking those who are opposed to the Pejawar seer not to  speak lightly about the seer, Kumaraswamy lashed out at Mutalik for criticising   the seer and questioned who gave him the patent to speak for Hindus.

He said he was visiting places of worship to seek the blessings of the almighty for his party so that it could  win the next elections and form a government in the state.

On the farm loan waiver by Siddaramaiah Government, Kumaraswamy said it was of no use as  the government has laid down 14 conditions for the same.

Kumaraswamy offered Tulabhara Seve at Dharmasthala and Ashlesha Bali at Subrahmanya. He  was accompanied by his wife Anitha and son Nikhil.

Several JD(S) leaders were present.
