Union Govt’s ‘Swachatha Darpan’ award for DK, Udupi dists

Mangaluru, Sep 28, 2017: Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr M.R Ravi speaking to media in Mangaluru on sept 27, Wednesday poited out that Dakshina Kannada district has been chosen for union government’s prestigious ‘Swachatha Darpan’ Award to be presented by the union government for the first time to 46 districts of the country including Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. The award is being presented for the works under taken by the districts to maintain cleanliness in their respective region.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present the award to the districts  in an event scheduled for October 2 in New Delhi. M.R Ravi also informed that toilet facilities will be made available for all 3230 families in Dakshina Kannada who are yet to build toilets under various development schemes.
