Puttur, Jan 14, 2016 : Former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa who is presently the MP of Shivamogga and National Vice President of BJP, has hit out at the Siddaramaiah Government in the state for neglecting developmental works.
Speaking to reporters after participating in the Viveka Sangama held at Vivekananda College here on January 13, Wednesday, Yeddyurappa also alleged that progress works have been put on hold on the pretext of upcoming Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections even before the enforcement of model code of conduct.
Referring to the Yettinahole Project, he said so far no scientific survey has been conducted and urged the government to undertake a practical survey by taking people of the affected areas as well as people of coastal districts into confidence.
He also took strong exception to the procurement of huge and costly pipes for the execution of the project at a time when no effort has been made to clear doubts in the minds of the public.
