Under trial assaults cop, makes vain bid to escape

Mangaluru, Nov 08, 2017: An under trial who was being taken back to jail after producing him before the court,   tried to escape by attacking the policeman who was escorting him near the PVS Circle on November 8, Wednesday. The under trial was later trapped by the traffic police and the public.

 

The accused identified as Numan of Punjalakatte was arrested on charges of theft and drugs peddling.
