Undeclared bundh in Kalladka following group clashes

 Mangalore, April 12, 2014 :The Kalladka town which witnessed group clashes on April 10, Thursday night following the attack on a youth belonging to the minority community observed an undeclared bundh on April 11, Friday  with almost all shops and business establishments remaining shut.

Though  BSF personnel and additional police personnel from Kerala were deployed at the spot following the clashes, there have been reports of stoning and group clashes on Friday too in the presence of the armed forces. The clash broke out when a group of miscreants hurled stones towards two youth who were heading towards the mosque on the High School road for the Friday prayers. The police who were stationed at the spot   intervened and ensured that things did not go out of control.

As already reported, three persons were injured and two vehicles damaged in Thursday night’s clashes. All the three were Ayyappa vrithadharis from Moodigere. DySP Rashmi Paraddi, Circle Inspector Rajashekhar Mistri, SI Sanjay Kalkura and other officials are at the spot.

So far,   three cases have been registered in connection with the different incidents in Kalladka since Thursday night. Prohibitory orders have been clamped for three days in Bantwal taluk.
