Unauthorised adoption : Child rescued from house of Bajpe couple

Mangaluru, Feb 6, 2016 : An infant which was unauthorisedly adopted by a couple in Bajpe has been rescued by the  authorities . A  young unmarried woman from Shanthigudde in Bajpe is learnt to have handed over the baby to the couple. She is learnt to have delivered the baby  in the month of August at Lady Goschen Hospital.

The authorities raided the house of the couple following complaint from locals that the couple were taking care of a child unauthorisedly.

District Child Rescue team staff Kumar Shettigar, Vajeer Ahmed and others with the help  Bajpe police have rescued the child and   produced it before the Child Welfare Committee.

The child has now been entrusted to the care  of Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samaj, Puttur.
