Unaccounted cash case : Poojary demands arrest of suspended officials

Mangaluru Dec 3, 2016: Senior Congress Leader Janardhana Poojary has  demanded the arrest of the  two Karnataka officials who were found in possession of unaccounted cash of Rs 152 crores and also high-end luxury cars during the latest IT raid.

 poojaryAddressing media at Press club on Saturday December 3, he said that this raid wherein gold jewellery valued approximately Rs 5 crores, old currencies and also foreign currencies were unearthed in their residence,  will definitely be  marked as black day in Karnataka history. Instead of mere suspension, the two officials should be arrested, he demanded.

"During the raid it was found that they were using code word BIG BOSS. Was this code word  pointing towards Chief Minister Siddaramaiah," questioned Poojari. "But, as per the media reports, Minister Mahadevappa is depicted as BIG Boss, in that case who are the other two ministers ?" he asked.

Poojary took potshots at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and said people suspected his involvement." By today evening Siddaramaiah should reveal the value of black money in  the seized cash. If he failed to do so high command should take stringent action against the  Chief Minister," he said.

Siddaramaiah is also  hesitant to arrest Ashok Kheni for defrauding government, Poojary alleged and demanded his arrest.

Criticising the CBI, he said presently it has been converted to BJP bureau of investigation. Defending the statement of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee over Indian Army, Poojary said that Union government was trying to destabilize the Indian army while Defense minister was trying to safeguard BJP.
