Ummer Farooq produced in the court in connection with Harish Rai murder attempt case

Mangalore, Jul 5, 2011: Ummer Farooq, one of the accused in the Harish Rai murder attempt case was produced in court on July 5 Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Ummer Farooq, an advocate by profession, alleged involved in the attempt to murder case of advocate Harish Rai was arrested by the Bunder Police from an international airport on July 4 Monday.

 

 

 

 

Till now, Farooq had succeeded in escaping arrest although the other accused in the case was arrested. Madoor Yusuf alias Isubu, who was arrested recently, revealed in the police interrogation that Ummer Farooq had escaped to Dubai.

Accordingly, the police were alerted at all international airports and they lay in wait for Ummer Farooq, who was scheduled to arrive on Monday. He was nabbed as soon as he alighted at the airport. Later, he was handed over to the Mangalore Police, who took him into custody.
