Ullal cops raid illegal butchery; seize cattle

Mangaluru, Aug 13, 2015 : Ullal police who raided an illegal slaughter house at Chembugudde in Ullal on August 12, Wednesday have seized 11 cattle and two cattle carcasses.  Though the police acted on a tip off from activists of a Hindu organisation, they could not succeed in arresting the accused who managed to give them a slip.

The animal carcass as well as the cattle were found crammed in a pick-up truck which has also been seized.

The illegal slaughter house is reportedly  run by two brothers namely MC Khader and MC Bava. Apart from the two, one Imtiyaz also fled the place   as soon as he realised that the police would raid the spot.
