Ullal cops arrest notorious thief

Mangaluru, Feb 06, 2018: Ullal Police have arrested a notorious  thief named Rameez alias Lemon Tea Rameez (26) of Ullal in connection with the case of theft in the house  of an elderly woman named Pushpa Reddy (70) at Subhashnagar on December 1 last year.

The assailant had threatened the elderly woman and escaped with the gold chain she was wearing.

Police have seized the stolen chain valued at Rs 50,000 from the accused who is also a rowdy sheeter.

Rameez has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody of 15 days.

Another accused in the case has already been arrested.
