Ullal: Youth killed in a tragic train accident in Sankolige

Mangaluru, Feb 11, 2024: A young man died after being hit by a train on the Sankolige Railway Track on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Jafar (23), son of Hasainar, a resident of Ucchila.

Reports suggest that Jafar was attempting to cross the railway track to reach his home when the accident happened.

Jafar, who had recently returned to his hometown from Mumbai, was in the process of preparing for a journey to Saudi Arabia on February 14, having obtained a work visa for employment there.

The railway police have launched an investigation into the incident and have registered a case accordingly.
