Udupi : Youth Congress protests price rise

Udupi,, June 6, 2015 : District Youth Congress held a protest against Centre’s NDA government over price hike at Clock Tower in Udupi.  Youth leader Amrith Shenoy said split policies pursued by Modi’s government has put people into confusions.

 

BJP leaders have backtracked from assurances made during the polls after coming to power, he said referring to Amith Shah’s remarks over beef and Ram Mandir.  He defied BJP national president to come out with clarifications over the party’s stance on both the controversial issues.

He said the BJP government had miserably failed to mitigate the problems of the marginalised. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who welcomed US President Barack Obama with open arms, is now into converting the defense sector. Shenoy said there was a huge threat as 49 % FDI has been allowed in defense. Besides government has also invited FDI into railways and real estate business.

Shenoy said negligent attitude of the Centre is visible in the delay of appointment of Lokpal, heads for Special Vigilance Squad and RTI Commission. He criticized Modi government for failure to offer proper representation and identification for women in the Cabinet. He alleged that the NDA government was only bothered about the growth of Adani and Ambani with suit and boot, and not the poor.
