Udupi: Yakshagana artiste Chandrakanth Shetty kills himself on railway track

Udupi, Dec 2, 2015: Chandrakanth Shetty, an Yakshagana artiste  from Kaltodu, kills himself on railway track near Indrali on Tuesday, December 01, 2015.

Chandrakanth Shetty , aged 30 took the extreme step due to depression. He was said to be addicted to alcohol.

He was an upcoming Yakshagana artiste who used to give programs in Sigandur and Goligarai fairs. He used go with Yakshagana troupes in many parts of the state.

He had returned from Bangalore on the previous day of the unfortunate incident. 

Udupi police is investigating the case.
