Udupi : Under trials clash over TV remote ; one injured

Udupi, May 22, 2017: A clash among under trials over a TV remote while watching IPL finals late  night  on May 21, Sunday  has left an under  trial injured.

 

The injured person has been identified as Tony James.  He has suffered injuries on his face and head. According to sources  six under trials named Prashanth Mogaveera, Prashanth Ballal,  Prashanth Shetty, Vikram Kundapur and Anand Marathi assaulted Tony with a carom board.

It is said the jail staff came to know about the incident on Monday morning  when Tony was unconscious in the cell. A Keralite, Tony who was initially in Mangaluru Jail was shifted to the Hiriadka prison some time back.

A case has been registered.
