Udupi: Teenager jumped to Swarna River, body retrieved

Udupi Sep 30, 2016: A teenage girl who committed suicide by jumping across river Swarna, the body of the teenage girl was found in the Seetha river bank at Haradi today September 30.

Chaitra (18) is the deceased girl, daughter of Chandrashekar resident of Santhekatte.

On September 28TH in the evening after work Chaitra took a bus alighted at Santekatte went walking towards bridge.

The locals noticed her as she was on conversion over her phone. She left her bag and sandals and jumped off the bridge. Locals informed to Udupi Police and search operation was on for two days.

On Friday morning locals found that body was floating in Seetha river bank near Haradi.

The body has shifted to Hospital for post-mortem.
