Udupi: Teen dies after drowning in a pond near Hebri

Udupi: July 12, 2015: A teenage boy lost his life after drowning in a pond near Miyar Ankarlu in Nalkur Village in Hebri, Udupi on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Prakash Nayak (18) from Nalkur Village.

The incident occurred when the boy along with his friends went to a pond near to his house. All the three boys got down into the water.

However, after a while the two friends noticed Prakash drowning and soon they rushed to save him. The pulled him out of the pond. Though Prakash was breathing, he was unconscious.
The two friends took him to a hospital in Manipal where the doctors declared him as brought dead.

A case has been registered at Hebri police station of Unatural death. The police have taken up the investigation.
