Udupi : Tailor ends life due to financial distress

Udupi, June 12, 2020:    A tailor  hailing from Kannarpady near here has ended his life by jumping into a well, reportedly due to financial constraints following the lockdown.

 

The deceased is Raghunath Serigar (55).  It is learnt, due to lockdown without any work he had remained at home for almost three months. Financial problems had further agonised him. Serigar who had retired to bed as usual after dinner on Tuesday night was found missing  the next morning. After a frantic search his body was found in a nearby well  on Thursday morning.

Malpe Police have registered a case. The deceased is survived by wife and two daughters.
