Udupi: Stock adequate anti-venom - U T Khader

Udupi, Oct 20, 2015: Minister for Health UT Khader paid a visit to Kaup Primary Heath Centre. Addressing the staff, he said that every government hospital make sure that there is adequate stock of antidotes for venom.

 
U T Khader_The Minister who visited the hospital on request of district in-charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, later had a talk withh Medical officers here.   He said that as per the rules every Primary Health Centre must have five kits of anti-venom medicine, Community health centres should have ten kits of the antidotes, Taluk hospital should have 50 kits and district hospital must have 100 kits.
 
Having a look at the well maintained PHC, Khader had words of appreciation. However, when the staff informed that the hospital had adequate number of doctors, good stock of medicines and all other facilities, but what was affecting the hospital was lean number of patients, Khader urged the doctors to create goodwill among the public.
 
He said that the PHC will get better facilities and new wings of medicine will be opened, for which a sum of Rs 1.50 cr has been earmarked.  He also said that a two tier mortuary will also be opened at the hospital.
