Udupi : Rider dies in bike-car collision at Kunjibettu

 Udupi, Aug 27, 2015: A bike rider met a tragic end when his two-wheeler was hit by a car at Kunjibettu on August 26, Wednesday.

The deceased is Abhay Ballal (38), a resident of Carstreet in the town.

It has been gathered that Abhay was on his way to Udupi from Manipal when the car of a builder named Lakshminarayana Tantri hit his bike.

Abhay who sustained serious head injuries in the mishap,though was immediately rushed o he hospital, his life could not be saved.

The accused car driver Tantri is  reportedly absconding. His car however has been seized.

The deceased Abhay, son of Gopi Ballal was running an audio store.

It has been gathered that his younger brother’s wedding was scheduled to be held  shortly.

A case has been registered by the Udupi Traffic Police.
