Udupi : Rasta Roko protestors detained by cops

Udupi, Sep 28, 2020:    Several activists of various organisations who resorted to a Rasta Roko at the city bus stand here, as part of the state wide protest and bundh call against the controversial Farm Bills, were detained by the police on September 28, Monday.

 

 

 

The Rasta Roko had earlier resulted in a heated altercation between bus crew and the protestors. Among those detained by the police included CPI(M) Secretary Balakrishna Shetty, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike District President Ansar Ahmed, Councillor Ramesh Kanchan, DSS leader Sunder Master, Congress leader Prakhyath Shetty and Annadatha Auto Union  District General Secretary Shivananda Moodabettu.
