Udupi: RTA permits 30 KSRTC buses under JNNURM

Mangaluru, Dec 31, 2014: If everything goes as per plan then as many as 32 KSRTC  city buses will operate in Udupi district. If 30 buses were granted permits under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), two   buses will operate on Dharmasthala-Kundapur route.

It was informed at the RTA meeting held here on December 30, Tuesday that the RTA has granted permits for 32 KSRTC city buses. The meet was presided over by Deputy Commissioner R Vishal who is also the RTA Chairman. He said two private buses have also been given permits.

The DC informed on the occasion that measures would be taken to solve various problems confronting the transport sector. He also stated that the next RTA Meeting is scheduled for February 21 next year. inst 1.21 crore units in the year-ago period.
