Udupi : Pramod Madhwaraj to file defamation suit against social activist

Udupi, Mar 22, 2018 :  Udupi District in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj has said that he would  file  a Rs 10 crore defamation case against social activist T J Abraham who had recently alleged that the Syndicate Bank had advanced Rs 193 crore loans to the minister after mortgaging property worth Rs 1.1 crore.

 

Speaking to press persons here,  Pramod said he has sent  a legal notice to Abraham seeking reply within 3 days. He also stated that the allegations made against him were derogatory.

The social activist had alleged that  the Malpe branch of Syndicate Bank had sanctioned  the loan after   the minister pledged 3.08  acre land in Uppuru of Brahmavar taluk valued at Rs 1,10,80,000.
