Udupi: Police seize Rs 7 lakh cash without supporting documents near Udyavara

Udupi, March 24, 2024: Police seized Rs 7 lakh in cash near the Udyavara checkpost, suspecting its intended use for Lok Sabha election campaigning.

The money was found in two cars—one traveling from Dharmasthala to Udupi and the other from Mangaluru to Udupi.

Occupants of the vehicles couldn’t produce proper documents regarding the cash’s source, leading to its confiscation by authorities.
