Udupi : Pattana Shetty transferred; Dr Vishal to be new DC

Udupi, Oct 29, 2014: S.S. Pattana Shetty, the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district who took charge just  last month, has been transferred.  Dr. R. Vishal, presently the Commissioner  of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department  will replace Shetty as the Udupi DC.

The new Udupi DC Dr Vishal, an IAS officer of the 2004 batch has the experience of serving as Chikkaballapur DC and Additional Commissioner (Elections) in BBMP apart from other departments like revenue, health and finance.

 
He is a medical doctor by qualification and has done his MBBS from KIMS in Hubli.

 

Outgoing Udupi DC Pattana Shetty  has been posted as the Commissioner of the  Food and Civil Supplies Department.
