Udupi: Organs of 17-year-old who died in an accident donated

Udupi Oct 10, 2016: Kasturba Medical Hospital and Udupi Police came together for a live organ transport to Bengaluru today, October 10 Monday.

 

Arrangements were made for Green Corridor Transportation of organs to Bengaluru. Organs of Himanshu Rao (19), a second PUC student who died in an accident were airlifted to Bengaluru by the 7am flight.

On Oct 08 Himanshu who was  seriously injuried in a road accident at Manipal was admiited at KMC , Manipal. The doctors declared that Himanshu’ brain was dead.

The family members decided to donate the organs for the patients who are in need. Vital organs like kidney, liver and cornea were donated.
