Udupi : One killed, 2 injured as fish lorry collides against stationed truck

Udupi, April 29,2016 :  A man from Holenarasipura in Hassan was killed and two others sustained injuries when a fish lorry collided against a stationed truck from behind on the National Highway 66 at Udyavar on April 29, Friday.

The deceased person is Gowdappa (51). The injured are Puttaraju and Kantharaju, also from Holenarasipura.

The tragedy struck when  the trio had parked their truck close by the Halima Sabju Hall after unloading sugarcane. The speeding fish lorry which was heading towards Mangaluru from Udupi rammed against the truck from the rear.

The injured were shifted to the Udupi Government Hospital with the help of social activist Nityananda Olakadu. Kaup Police  have registered a case. SP Annamalai  also visited the accident spot.
