Udupi, Oct 11, 2015: The keenness as well as willingness of the members of the general public to contribute towards a rightful and noble cause was evident when the Neralu Neravu Abhiyan organised by a group of youngsters led by Avinash Kamath, evoked great response. The team aims to assist the renowned environment conservationist Salumarada Timmakka with the help of the funds collected.
The team also took out a procession from Jodukatte to Udupi to raise funds from the members of the general public. As part of the campaign, the team had placed donation boxes at several places including banks, public places and malls.
Congress leader Amrith Shenoy, Shivkumar, divisional manager of Big Bazaar and others who donated funds were present and appreciated the efforts of the team.
A Robosoft employee Gurunandan Bhat raised Rs 41000 from his colleagues for the good cause. CMC President Yuvaraj also contributed while the Karmika Vedike members donated Rs 30,000.
