Udupi, Jan 02, 2018: Nagaland Governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya who is of Udupi origin, reminisced his child hood days during the course of his visit to Udupi to participate in various programmes.
Just like a commoner, the Governor was seen seated with his wife on chairs meant for tourists at Carstreet on January 1, Monday. The Governor had a brief stopover at Carstreet on his way to a hotel to have lunch. At Carstreet he enjoyed Thali Bonda, locally known as Irol along with his wife and purchased Abbalige flower and Mattigulla. The Governor who was at Carstreet for nearly one a half hours identified and spoke to several of his old acquaintances.
Acharya later said he immensely enjoyed the time he spent at Carstreet. Acharya had spent his childhood and younger days in Udupi.
