Udupi : Missing school boy found hanging

Udupi, Aug 09, 2015: A ninth standard student of VKR Acharya Memorial High School of Kunjal who was reported missing since August 8, Saturday was found hanging from a tree at Kunjal. He had used a belt to hang himself.

The deceased boy is Prajwal Acharya (14), the only son of Prema and Vittal Acharya couple who are poor coolie workers.

It has been gathered that Prajwal who was  on leave  for around three to four days  due to fever was later not attending school for a few days though he used to leave home for school.

Prajwal’s parents came to know that he was abstaining from school only after the teachers informed them. It is learnt that they had questioned Prajwal but had not reprimanded him. However, the boy who went missing on Saturday was found hanging today.  It is being said that he was depressed since some days.

Investigations are underway by Brahmavar Police.
