Udupi : Man attacked; robbed of gold chain worth Rs 2 lakhs

Udupi, Dec 05, 2018: The Deputy Manager of the Advertisement Section in the Udupi office of a newspaper was attacked and robbed of his gold chain worth nearly Rs 2 lakh  in a late night incident  on the VST Road here on Tuesday.

 

Ravi Shettigar (37), a resident of Indrali Lakshmindra Nagar who had been to Kundapur on office work on Tuesday, had returned to the Udupi office at around 10 pm.

It is said he was attacked by an unidentified person from behind while he was answering nature’s call inside the compound. The stranger later left the place after snatching Shettigar’s gold chain.

A  complaint has been lodged at Udupi town police   station.
