Udupi, Dec 03, 2015: The two-month long ’Udupi Utsava 2015 was inaugurated by Udupi Legislator Pramod Madhwaraj at the Royal Garden grounds on December 2, Wednesday.
In his inaugural address, Pramod Madhwaraj said such festivals give ample opportunity for the people to spend their leisure time in a meaningful manner while also providing good entertainment to them.
A variety of cultural programmes will also be organised every weekends during the Udupi Utsav. A number of stalls have come up selling a variety of products.
Udupi CMC President Yuvaraj, Vice President Amritha Krishnamurthi, Prashanth Bhat, President of the Standing Committee, Gautham Agarwal, organiser of the event and others were present.
The entry ticket for the Utsav is Rs 40 per person while entry is free for children below five years. Six free amusement rides are offered for children as part of a special package.
