Arun Kumar Padur, chairman of the zilla panchayat standing committee on agriculture and industry, said that the Udupi Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer should collect information of the taxes paid by Udupi Power Company Ltd., which ran a 1,200 MW coal-based thermal plant in Yellur. The details of taxes collected from 2006 from the company should be collected, he said.

Ms. Kangavalli directed the officials to prepare action plans of housing and drinking water schemes. Diwakar Shetty, Deputy Director of Public Instruction, said that the department had started taking steps to get good results for SSLC examinations.
