Udupi: Elderly man standing in queue to exchange old notes dies

Udupi, Nov 12, 2016 : An elderly man dies after waiting in a bank queue for exchanging the note of denomination 500 and 1000 on November 12 Saturday at Ajekar in Udupi.

The deceased is Gopala Shetty (96). He is survived by three sons and a daughter.

It is learnt that Goapla shetty had been to Corportaion bank, Ajekar branch to exchange the notes.  As the Queue was lengthy, he was exhausted waiting and collapsed. He was rushed to hospital was proclaimed dead.
