Udupi: Duo held for trying to illegally sell pistol

Udupi, April 4, 2015: The Udupi police have arrested two men who were  trying to sell a pistol illegally at Saiberakatte Yedthady on April 3, Friday. The cops  raided a place near Kavadi Cross following a tip off and arrested Sohail (29) and Yogish (29) of Kundapur who were lurking around suspiciously.

 

They were found in possession of a pistol, seven live bullets, three cell phones, a cash of Rs 1.34 lakhs and a  motorbike which have now been seized.

The duo were later entrusted to the custody of Brahmavar police. The raid  was led by ACP Santosh Kumar, Udupi DySP Chandrashekhar KM and other personnel under the directions  of SP Annamalai.
