Udupi: CPI(M) leader resents curbing of freedom of expression

Udupi, Oct 29, 2017: Absence of freedom of expression in any nation can be compared to an emergency like situation," said CPI(M) Udupi District Secretary Balakrishna Shetty.

He was speaking after inaugurating  the 22nd Udupi Taluk Conference of the CPI(M at the Narayana Guru Auditorium at Bannanje in Udupi on October 29, Sunday. Continuing, he said the seeds of communalism are being sowed to lead youth astray and to prevent them from fighting against the failure of the Modi Government on the economic front.

The Union Government which came to power promising 2 lakh jobs a year has been able to create only one lakh to 3 lakh jobs in three years, he alleged.
